The Springer Link announced that its journal of Materials Science: Composites invites papers for publication under ‘open collection’

India's burgeoning economy, coupled with its vast and diverse natural resources, presents both a challenge and an opportunity. The demand for high-performance, sustainable materials is rapidly increasing, driven by sectors like aerospace, automotive, construction, and renewable energy. This demand necessitates the development of advanced composites with tailored properties, whether it's lightweight materials for fuel efficiency, durable composites for infrastructure, or bio-based composites for a greener future. Simultaneously, India faces the critical need to manage its abundant agricultural and industrial waste, which presents a unique opportunity to utilize these resources in the creation of sustainable composite materials. This special collection aims to cover some of the remarkable progress being made in addressing these challenges.

Potential topics to be considered will include the following: •Advanced polymer composites •Fiber-reinforced composites •Metal matrix composites •Ceramic matrix composites •Recycling and sustainable composites

Contributions including original research articles, perspective articles, and topical reviews are welcome from Indian researchers working on various aspects of composite materials science and engineering.

Submission Information: Authors should select the appropriate Collection title “Landscaping Composite Innovations in India” under the “Details” tab during the submission stage.

All manuscripts will undergo the journal’s standard peer-review process and will be subject to the standard editorial policies. Articles will be assessed, reviewed and published in this special collection on a rolling basis.
