The Bodo Möller Chemie Group is entering into a partnership with the fully-integrated carbon fibre manufacturer DowAksa. The cooperation agreement between the two companies allows Bodo Möller Chemie to extend its product portfolio to include extremely strong, stiff, and lightweight carbon fibre products. These products offer true added value, especially to clients in the high-tech sectors, railway vehicle manufacture, the automotive, aerospace, and wind turbine industries. They are the perfect addition to the high-performance resins already existing in the Bodo Möller Chemie portfolio.

“Our partnership with DowAksa has allowed us to extend our range of innovative materials significantly, thus also consolidating our market position in promising sectors,” affirms Frank Haug, CEO of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group. “We’re convinced that this cooperative partnership will deliver a decided advantage to our clients by giving them access to premium products and comprehensive technical expertise.” DowAksa is considered a leading manufacturer of carbon fibre-based solutions.

Through this strategic partnership, Bodo Möller Chemie is responding to the increasing demand for lightweight, high-performance materials, offering DowAksa solutions to clients in the EU, UK, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland.

Greater opportunities for clients

At the heart of this collaboration are high-grade carbon fibre and carbon fibre reinforced intermediate products like fabrics, prepregs and pultruded profiles. Very strong and lightweight, carbon-fibre-based materials are used in a variety of applications where weight savings, emissions reduction, durability, and energy efficiency are key performance factors. Incorporating DowAksa products in its portfolio means that Bodo Möller Chemie now offers its clients a unique combination of high-performance resins and carbon fibres for composite manufacture from a single supplier. Clients also benefit from extensive technical support and enhanced consultation from experts. The new partnership creates synergies, making it possible to develop custom-fit solutions for specific requirements.

Sustainable innovation for a green future

Carbon fibre reinforced products are steadily increasing in importance since they are essential for applications which require weight reduction and energy efficiency. The impact of these materials on CO2 emission reduction is unmatched in wind turbines, automotive manufacturing, and aerospace engineering. “Partnering with DowAksa reinforces our commitment to sustainable technologies and highlights our focus on lightweight solutions and premium raw materials,” explains Dr. Eric Hernandez, Business Director EIMEA at Bodo Möller Chemie.

“Our cooperative partnership marks a significant milestone in our mission to serve European clients with precision and excellence,” said Massimo Rebolini, CEO of DowAksa. “By delivering high-performance, tailor-made carbon fiber solutions, we are enhancing productivity while advancing sustainability. This collaboration reflects our dedication to meeting the increasing demand for lightweight yet strong, energy-efficient materials and making a meaningful contribution to a more sustainable future.”
